Wash!ngton

 Washington was supposed to be a drive through state... However there was road construction... And a detour.
That sent  the road winding deep into the Umatilla National Forest. And then no more detour. "Where did the signs go?" So 2am, lost in the Umatilla wilderness and the GPS has limited reception...! After some hours of backtracking and going along horribly maintained dirt roads it was apparent that Washington refused to be called a drive through state!

 The next morning driving along the Gorge I was glad I was able to actually see it!(Although an Oregonian for the last 20 years I had yet to see the Gorge!)
