Portlandia
Sometime things just work. Sometimes work makes things just.
I captured this scene in Portland, Oregon a few months ago. I climbed high onto a underconstruction overpass. I took three frames. And left.

The human creature needs tactile stimulation. Our digital world will achieve greatness only as it impacts our other senses. Sight alone craves accompaniment. Thus I was not surprised to see a iphone to Polaroid scanner/printer ad a few days ago. "Hold your photos!" What a concept!
I see in Nikon's new "Retro" camera and the aforementioned poloroid scanner a desire, a search for something that was lost in the advent of the digital age. Are we losing the soul of photography?
